Maruti Suzuki will soon launch New Maruti Suzuki Splash model in india around march-april 2009. New Maruti Splash is a B+ Segment small hatchback Car and After the recently launched Maruti A-Star, Maruti may replace its aging Wagon R with Ritz or may launch it as new model. Maruti Suzuki had decided to change the name of Maruti Suzuki Splash as Maruti Suzuki Ritz in india. They had to change the name of Maruti Suzuki Splash to Maruti Suzuki Ritz just because of the fact registered with the name Maruti Splash by some other manufacture. Maruti Splash is based on the all-new platform, the production of the Maruti Splash has some hints of the Maruti Swift and Maruti SX4 interspersed with the C-pillar design that really harks to a concept. Maruti Splash may have the three engines – two petrol engines and a common-rail diesel. A 1000cc, 65 bhp 3-cylinder and a 1200cc, 86 bhp 4-cylinder engine will power Suzuki's gasoline aspirations while the 1248cc, 75 bhp multi-jet engine manufactured at Manesar in India will complete the engine lineup. Both the petrol engine have four-valve-per-cylinder. Maruti Suzuki swift’s 1.3-litre DDIS may also be strapped into the New Maruti Splash. All three engines are combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.2L petrol Maruti Splash feature an optional 4-speed automatic transmission. All the engines of the Maruti Splash are Euro4-compliant. Maruti Splash mileage will be similar to the all new Maruti Suzuki A-Star. Maruti Splash Price will be around Rs 4-5 Lakh. On the inside, the Maruti Splash continues the raid on Suzuki's parts bin with the steering wheel, gear knob, door handles, indicator switches, etc first seen on the Swift/SX4. Though, that is where the raid ends. The gear lever is mounted high up and the driving seat is, like the steering wheel, adjustable for height. It controls an electric power steering system with about the right amount of weight but no true feel of the road. Its suspension is quite firm, in an effort to keep it agile despite the height, so it feels accurate enough in corners. he rear seat is set higher than the front seats so all occupants get a good view out, and all seats are comfortable enough. It's a proper four-seater, and big enough for five at a squeeze. front-to-rear, but there's a big compartment hidden under the false floor with the space saver spare wheel hidden in another layer below that. The rear seats fold down in one movement per side, the cushion cranking forward to make space for the descending backrest. Maruti Splash has a good front space with headroom good too. The rear seats in Maruti Splash is set a bit higher than the front seats to get the good front view. It is a true 4 seater car but for 5 they can sit at a squeeze.
